Abstract
One of the factors influencing the continuation of the Islamic Revolution is the culture of martyrdom, which is rooted in the red past of the Shiite community, that is, the belief in Ashura and the components of self-sacrifice, self-sacrifice and martyrdom in the way of values. These elements became a culture in Shiite communities after Ashura; Not long after this incident, several uprisings took place in Shiite communities under the influence of Ashura, among which we can mention the Tawabin uprising. It was from that time that martyrdom was introduced as a culture in the society and this idea made the Shiites not afraid of death in the struggle against oppression. Relying on the faith and passionate youth led by Imam Khomeini in 1979, the Islamic Revolution of Iran, with the victory over one of the most powerful dictators in the world, was able to bear the seeds of the Islamic Revolution despite many conspiracies, including the Eight-Year War. Leave a big tree that is now known in the world as a great and influential power in international equations. The importance of such an issue provides the achievement of Iran's security and independence. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of the culture of martyrdom on the continuity of the Islamic Revolution of Iran with a descriptive-analytical method. The results of this study show that the idea of martyrdom by being influenced by the culture of Ashura has not only been the main factor in the emergence of the Islamic Revolution but also one of the main factors in its preservation and continuity.
